Ryad Mahrez:

The Manchester City winger emerged as the leading candidate for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Most Valuable Player after scoring the goal that sent the North Africans into the final- stunning freekick in the last minute of added time.

Ryad Mahrez has been decisive in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for Algeria. His creativity and potency in front of goal has propelled the Desert Foxes to their first final since 1990.

Mahrez has bagged three goals, just a one behind tournament’s top scorer Odion Ighalo as Algeria head into the final of the AFCON on Friday.

Youcef Bellaili

The Esperance de Tunis midfielder has been an influential figure in the Algerian set-up.

Bellaili has been involved in a lot of goals through his piercing passes and clinical finishing: he has bagged two goals thus far and has been a regular feature in the team.

Algeria will rely heavily on him entering into the final of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) against Senegal.

Sadio Mane

The Liverpool forward is the go-to man in the Senegalese attack. The team is designed in such a way that it revolves around him.

Although he hasn’t been able to replicate his amazing club performance that helped the Reds win the UEFA Champions League, he has made a significant contribution to the success story of the Taranga Lions en route to the final of AFCON 2019.

Sadio Mane has bagged three goals and he could win the top scorer’s award on the final day of the tournament, should he score one or more goals.

The Senegalese will count on him in their game against Algeria.

The curtains will be drawn down on the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament on Friday 19th July 2019 when Senegal take on Algeria in the showdown.
