Tunisia Coach Alain Giresse says his side will look to exploit the weaknesses of the Black Stars when both teams clash in the round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Carthage Eagles will face off with the Black Stars on Monday evening for a place in the quarter-final of the competition.

Although Giresse admits Ghana boasts a strong team, the Frenchman has sounded a warning that he side knows how to secure the result against their West African opponents.

“Egypt and Morocco’s exit is a big surprise and we will give everything tomorrow [Monday] to continue in the tournament,” Giresse said during his pre-match conference.

“Ghana is a strong and harmonious team. They have competition in most of the positions but we have analyzed them well and we can work on their weak point.”

Meanwhile, Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah believes past records will not matter when the Black Stars face Tunisia

The Black Stars are unbeaten in seven games against their North African opponents in tournament football.

However, Appiah insists past wins over Tunisia in previous tournaments would not be a guarantee for another victory.

It is true we have had good results over our opponents in our past meetings, but modern football has gone past previous glories,” the Black Stars coach said.

I have always said and maintained that there are no minnows in this modern game of football, each country that has qualified to this stage deserve to be here and we have to treat each opponent with the maximum respect.

“Though we are poised to have good results against them again, the scenarios have always been different but I have so much trust and believe in my team heading into this game and I am sure they would give Ghanaians something to smile about,” he added.
