Rapper Shawty Lo, whose real name is Carlos Walker was 40 years old. best known for his 2008 hit “Dey Know” and member of the hip-hop group D4L who released the 2005 Hot 100 chart-topper “Laffy Taffy”, died in a car crash in Atlanta on Tuesday night (Sept. 20).
According to 11 Alive, Fulton County police say the crash happened around 2:20 a.m. when a 2016 Audi caught fire at the Cascade Road exit after crashing onto a guard rail and hitting several trees. Shawty Lo’s latest release was 2013’s “Bowen Home Carlos.” He was also a father to 11 children.
