Not less than 42 persons have been apprehended by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for their alleged involvement in internet-related fraud.
A statement issued by the Acting head, media and publicity, of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren discloses that the suspects, whose ages range between 18 and 33 years, were nabbed in Ilaro area of Ogun State by the anti-graft agency attached to the Ibadan Zonal Office.
According to Uwujaren, their arrest follows “actionable intelligence earlier received by the commission on their alleged illegal activities”.
Items recovered from the suspects include eight exotic cars, mobile phones and laptops.
