The Koforidua Tennis Club invitational tennis tourney has ended in style, with Team Red defeating Team Blue 5-0.
The Red ‒ team made up of the vice chairman of the club, Kwame Gjangba Dos Amigos, Nii Quarshie Quartey, Bright Amponsah and team captain Stella Pamwum ‒ outwitted Team Blue which consisted of Coach Samuel Appiah, Bernard Ayana, Frank Safe, Dr. Opare and Captain Kwadwo Asare.
The Chairman of Koforidua Tennis Club, John Ashford Afful Jnr., presented the trophy to Team Red and congratulated the team for such an outstanding performance.
“We used to have the tournament on July 1st but due to the change in the national calendar, the tournament has been shifted to 5 August and we are very pleased with the performance of members especially, the Red team,” Mr. Afful Jnr said.
Earlier, Captain Asare and Samuel Owusu won the Social I and Social II round robin games respectively.
