However, the Black Stars in recent times have lost their popularity after the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup which saw them crash out of the Mundial in the group stage after boycotting training over unpaid bonuses.

Kurt E.S Okraku upon his appointment as the new boss of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has made it his top priority to revive Ghanaians passion for the Black Stars by launching the campaign ‘Bring Back the Love’.

The campaign, hash-tagged #BringBackTheLove is aimed at igniting passion and galvanising support for the Black Stars as they seek to redeem themselves after their disappointing Afcon 2019 campaign in Egypt.

Players, coaches and executives of the GFA will take centre stage in the #BringBackTheLove campaign, and the GFA will partner the media to drive the campaign.

The GFA will announce further details on the #BringBackTheLove Campaign as the Black Stars’ match with Bafana Bafana approaches.
