The match day 23 Premier League fixtures between Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak have been postponed by The Premier League Board (PLB).
The match scheduled for Sunday July 16 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi has been postponed due to the accident the team encountered on the Nkawkaw road last Wednesday as they were returning from match day 22 with the Inter Allies
The PLB is deeply disheartened by the misfortune of the team and has expressed its deepest commiseration to them. Our heart goes out to the family of Mr. Thomas Asare, the departed Assistant Equipment Manager.
The PLB board has expressed its concern in this difficult time and has sent a delegation to visit Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The PLB has instructed all club officials and players to wear red and black armbands for the seven Match DAY 23 matches and has further directed the observation of a minute silence in honor of the departed Official of Kotoko before the commencement of all Match Day 23 Premier League Matches.
Again, the PLB applauds all those who supported Kotoko during the difficult moment, as well as Okwawu United, who made their bus available to transport injured Kotoko players to Kumasi.
