Fafali Esinam Amengor

Fafali Esinam Amengor‒ a fashion entrepreneur and CEO of Ghanaian international lifestyle fashion brand, Stick & Stitches (SnS) ‒ has said she is not surprised she quit her banking job to pursue a career in fashion.

According to her, it is not only because she wanted to own her personal business but the desire for fashion has always been her family’s first love.

“SnS officially came to life after six months of quitting my job as a banker. I knew for sure that there was no going back into corporate world and I wanted to run my own business as it has been my dream since infancy. Venturing into fashion after quitting my ‘9-5’ wasn’t really a surprise as fashion is a common place in my family,” Fafali stated.

“Two of my sisters and my mum are already established in fashion and style, so I guess that is where the passion sparked from. It’s been almost two years since we launched our first collection as men’s brand. It sometimes amazes me how the brand has grown within two short years and now produces designs for men, kids and ladies. We also have an accessory and interior decor line which is thriving quite well,” she added.

Fafali’s SnS has grown to become one of the go-to brands.

Everyone ‒ from presidents to the common man and woman on the streets of Ghana‒ patronises the SnS brand.

Fafali is often described as an ambitious self-motivated young lady, her love to challenge herself and never take a ‘no’ for an answer saw her own beautiful chapters from a fashion lineage textbook of her family.

Though having had her first degree in Food & Nutrition from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, she worked as a banker for two years before she decided to bow out and join the fashion industry. The passionate young lady understands that to become a heavyweight in fashion industry, one simply must not wait but be spectacular.

She believes it’s about having her own identity as a brand, discovering a niche and being sensitive to what her clients want, thus, she has and is still working on the SnS brand to have that ‘S’ factor that sets them apart from the rest.

Among her long list of clients are President Akufo-Addo and ex-President Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings.

“Starting the brand in itself has been a blessing, and having the likes of President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, ex-President Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings patronising the SnS brand has been more than a blessing,” she said.
