As part of fashion these days, Ladies tend to put on all kinds of make-up just to feel good about themselves and impress guys as well. Whether the make-up looks good on them or not, all they care about is the confidence level it comes with.
Make-up has become the ordeal of the day and thus it makes it hard for one to even see a lady with her natural face. Unlike the past, when make-up was not common unless one was getting married or going for a special occasion, make-up nowadays is done almost every day and taken to one’s place of choice.
Ladies wear make-up to lectures and they overdo it to the extent that they even look like ‘brides ready to be taken down the aisle’. They tend to spend long hours before their dressing mirrors admiring their faces without realizing their lateness for classes. This affects their academic performance but they seem not to care.
One is most likely to see a make-up kit in a lady’s bag as part of items she would pack in her bag. You go to female washrooms and you find ladies retouching their make-up once more to look good.
The women we have these days cannot be compared to the women we had before this era. Women these days will spend most of their money buying all kinds of cosmetics just to look beautiful outwardly but do not take turns to look beautiful inwardly.
Research done in 2013; found that the average American woman will spend $15,000 on make-up during her lifetime and at least 20 minutes a day applying it.
A Buzz feed survey asked women why they wear make-up and among the responses were “because it’s fun and “because it makes me feel more confident”. In today’s world, confidence is considered the key to success, so it makes sense some women spend that extra time doing whatever they need to, in order to feel better about themselves.
“I saw a picture of my mother when she was younger and she was the most beautiful woman I have ever laid eyes on. Naturally beautiful, there’s nothing in the world like it and I think a lot of makeup actually makes women look worse”.
