The Lagos state government says it will be investigating the unprofessional conduct of the nurses at a hospital where reality TV star, Patrick Fakoya, aka Rico Swavey, was rushed after he was involved in a motor accident that claimed his life.

In the viral clip which sparked outrage on social media, shows some nurses at a hospital,  filming and being nonchalant with their duties while Rico was in a very critical condition. The clip shows Rico Swavey on a chair while one of the nurses called for help to put him on a stretcher, the others were laid back even as one of them chuckled as he was filming.

One of the nurses was heard cautioning her colleague against the act. She said, “You people should stop making the video; somebody is dying, you people are making video,”

The video has caused a major outrage on social media with many Nigerians condemning the act and calling for an punitive measures for the nurses.

In response to the reaction of the general public,  the Lagos state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said the state government is already investigating the hospital.

Mr Omotosho had said, ”That hospital is not a government hospital; we have started an investigation into the unprofessional conducts of those who appeared in that video.”
