Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have declared their readiness to take President Akuffo-Addo on should he attempt to do the bidding of the EC staff who have petitioned for the removal of Mrs. Charlotte Osei.

The NDC described the petition signed by private legal practitioner, Maxwell Opoku Agyemang as “blackmail witch-hunting” attempts to rid Mrs. Charlotte Osei of her position.

Minority Leader, Haruna Idrissu speaking at a news conference held by minority members to assess President Akufo-Addo’s first six months in office, stated the NDC’s determination to fight efforts by the ruling NPP to interfere with Mrs. Charlotte Osei especially after they chose to remain silent over the dismissal of several civil servants and government officials appointed by the Mahama administration since they took over the office of the presidency.

“Stay off intruding into the operations and activities of the independent EC….the President’s blackmail witch hunt will fail today, fail tomorrow and will be resisted by the NDC”, Mr. Haruna warned.
