President Akufo-Addo
PRESIDENT NANA Akufo-Addo today, May 21, 2019, signed into law the Right To Information (RTI) Bill.
The signing ceremony took place at the Jubilee House, the seat of Government in Accra.

It was streamed live on the President’s official Facebook page.
He had earlier made the announcement about his readiness to sign the Bill today via a tweet, saying “later this morning, I will be giving the constitutionally required assent to the Right To Information Bill passed by Parliament, after 17 years of its introduction.”
The bill was passed by Parliament this year. The law is expected to take effect from January 2020.
