Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks with Interim President of Burkina Faso Ibrahim Traore at St Petersburg duirng the Russia-Africa Summit.
At the age of 35, Ibrahim Traoré is a Burkinabé military officer who has been serving as the interim leader of Burkina Faso since the 30th of September 2022 coup d’état, which removed interim president Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba from power.
Notably, Traoré holds the distinction of being the world’s youngest currently serving state leader.
