He has been ruled out indefinite from playing football until the situation gets better. This is a major setback on his La Liga career since he is yet to find his feet in the Spanish topflight league since joining Levante last season from FC Zurich before being sent on loan to Real Zaragoza this season.

Dwamena will undergo further tests from Thursday with specialists on heart problems to determine the exact defect that has resulted in the medical team of Zaragoza calling for the Ghana attacker to stop playing or training indefinitely.

“The striker will undergo new tests to determine the extent of his illness. Real Zaragoza is confident of Raphael Dwamena’s fast and complete recovery,” the club said about the Ghanaian player.

Raphael Dwamena has started all the nine games for Real Zaragoza this season after joining them.

This is the second time Raphael Dwamena has been diagnosed with a career-threatening heart problem.

In 2017 the Ghanaian failed medical at Brighton and Hove Albion, after agreeing on 15m euros (£13.8m) fee with FC Zurich due to heart problem.

“The club would like to wish Raphael the very best for the future,” said Brighton in a statement.

It was a major blow on his promising career since it was his dream to ply his trade in the English Premier League.
