Students of the Amedzofe Technical School are reported to have escaped death after the bus in which they were travelling fell into the Valley from the Mountainous Afadzato Road in the Ho West District.
Although no deaths were recorded, many of students are said to
have sustained various degrees of injuries. The driver on the other hand is
believed to be in a critical condition.
The accident occurred Tuesday Afternoon, June 11, 2019 when the
students were returning from an ongoing Inter-schools sports festival being
held in Ho.
According witnesses, the school bus was climbing the steep and
hilly road to Amedzofe when it suddenly began to reverse.
The driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle fell off into
the valley along the road.
Passersby who saw the incident quickly rushed to their aid.
All injured were sent to the Ho Municipal Hospital, where most of them are responding to treatment.
