WA All Stars, defending champions of the Ghana Premiere League disclosed the team has surrendered this year’s title hunt.
The team smashed a record by being the first team to win the 2015/2016 Premiere League from the three Northern Region.
Since the beginning of the 2016/2017 League, it has been a great wrestle for them. They currently occupy the 12th position with25 points and with nine matches to play winning is plainly not achievable.

Skipper Hafiz Adams speaking to the GNA sports in Kumasi, stated that their aim was to battle for a reputable sports. He added, “For now, it is all over for us, and All Stars are focusing on a top four place”.
Adams also assigned their average performance to injuries and said; about eight key players including him suffered various forms of injury.

He further said “Any team which experiences the magnitude of such a loss will definitely find the going tough”.
Adams highlighted their determination to work hard to win their remaining matches to finish the top four
