Emmanuel Eboue, a former Arsenal and Ivory Coast defender has added his voice to Dr. Kyei’s approach towards the playing body, saying he can scold them for poor performance, but he has no right to sack them.

“The president can get angry against the players and the technical team but he can’t sack the players. Never and never because they have a contract with the club. Maybe the president can amend them,” Eboue said in an interview with Kumasi-based Ashh FM.

“You know some presidents of the clubs when they get angry they can insult players badly even some coaches also insult the players when they get angry but they can’t sack players”, Eboué said.

Dr. Kwame Kyei was appointed as the new Kotoko Executive Board Chairman in 2016. He arrived with a glowing profile as CEO of Unity Oil Company Limited, Light FM, Light TV, Vision1 FM, Sports Hotel.
