Ghana’s YP International Band will be joining top-rated musicians like Yaa Pono, Patapaa and Kaakyire Kwame Appiah as part of their upcoming tour in the United States of America (USA).
This was disclosed in a press statement to NEWS-ONE on Tuesday.
The tour, which is being organised in collaboration with Ghana Waves Association North America, will have the band perform with the musicians at a Iive concert in Bronx during the summer holidays from July to September 2019.
There will be other supporting performances from other guest artistes, including Patrick Yaw Addo.
Proceeds from the concert, according to the organisers, will be used to help school drop-outs and children on the street.
Meanwhile, it is the first time Yaa Pono, Patapaa and Kwame Appiah will be sharing the same stage after their different career backgrounds.
Patapaa and Pono have performed on stage together a couple of times.
Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, a veteran musician who has over three decades experience in the music industry, has never shared stage with both artistes.
“It’s a whole new experience to be back on tour with some of the best young artistes doing very well on the music scene. I am happy to be part of this tour and the fans should expect to have some good time,” Kaakyire said in an earlier interview with NEWS-ONE.
