Some economists have suggested to the Finance Minister s to take advantage of the opportunity to review the government’s revenue target of 34 billion cedis for 2017.

This according to them is because, the government hasn’t succeeded with the over GHC10 billion target is set to hit in the first quarter of the year, but actually made GHC8.7 billion.

This means the State is not halfway through meeting its target.

Others have also suggested that the Finance Minister uses the opportunity to give details about the International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme extension.
