Social media this week woke up to pictures of Second Lady and some stars of popular Indian Soap Opera Kumkum Bhagya, for which she wasn’t spared by critics and fans alike.

A section of the public believed that the second lady was only ‘endorsing’ the Indian Telenovela at the expense of local movies with her move.

In response to that, Samira Bawumia has come out to set the record straight. In a Facebook post, the Second Lady indicated that her decision to meet up with some of the big names in India’s entertainment industry was to discuss a possible collaboration with Ghana.

Samira Bawumia who was in India to speak at an International Conference on Women Trafficking in Mumbai, took a detour to meet with some notable entertainment industry players in the country which included some cast of the popular series “Kumkum Bhagya.”
