Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng popularly known as Ebony is a Ghanaian dancehall/Afrobeats artiste born on February 16 1997.

Born and raised in Ghana Ebony began her secondary education at Methodist Girls’ at Mamfe in the Akuapem North district of the Eastern Region before dropping out in 2015 to pursue her passion for music.

 


Discovered by Bullet a renowned member of Ruff n Smooth fame, Ebony is widely known for her hit songs “poison” and “sponsor”.

The young entertainer released her first single ‘Dance Floor’, in December 2015 with a video and audio released just before the close of that year. The song became a hit on radio landing her a nomination for the unsung category at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards.

In January 2017, Ebony stormed the scene with hot new visuals for her new song titled ‘Poison’ which has gained over 480,000 YouTube streams.

On the 31st of May, 2017 Ruff Town Records and Midas Touch Inc. independently launched Ebony’s 4th official project ‘Sponsor’ co-written by Bullet.

In 2016, she was nominated at the Ghana Music Awards for the Unsung Artiste of the year; she was also nominated at the Jigwe Awards for the Discovery of the year. At the Bass Awards, she was nominated for New Discovery.

She swept two Awards of which one was at the 4Syte Music Video Awards for the Best Female Video and New Discovery (Kupe) and she won the Best Dancehall Video (Dance Floor) at the Bass Awards.
